About UsJigsaw4u

Jigsaw4u is a child-centered charity supporting children and young people through loss and trauma whilst also empowering them to have a voice in decision-making about their own lives, the development of Jigsaw4u and policy and practice locally, regionally and nationally

Anne Davies - CEO, Jigsaw4u

Anne Davies, Chief Executive and founder of Jigsaw4u, previously worked as a social worker with sexually abused children and with children whom had experienced a range of losses and traumas. They all said that they felt alone and different and found meeting together and sharing experiences really helpful. With their encouragement Jigsaw4u was set up. Initially the charity was known as 'Moving Forward Together' but has evolved, in consultation with children, young people and adults, to become Jigsaw4u.

Anne Davies, CEO - Jigsaw4u

To support children and young people, and their families, who have experienced loss and trauma and to empower them to have a voice in decision making about their lives, about the development of Jigsaw4u and in the development of policy and practice locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Jim Harding - Vice President and former Chief Executive of the NSPCC

"Although most organisations working with children share a theoretical commitment to involve children and give them a say in what happens, it has proved commonly difficult to put this commitment into practice. Jigsaw4u is one of the few organisations that has not just paid lip service to this but has found practical ways of giving a genuine voice to children and young people. It is a precious achievement and an important example for others to follow."

Jim Harding - Vice President and former Chief Executive of the NSPCC"

That every child and young person who has experienced loss and trauma will receive the support that they need, when they need it and in a way that they will find helpful and accessible.

That every school, GP practice and hospital will have a designated person for loss and trauma along the same lines as the already existing designated and lead professionals for child protection.
