All Party Parliamentary Meetings
Jigsaw4u seeks to ensure that the views of children and young people are shared at every level including at the level of national policy making through parliamentary representation. As a result Anne Davies regularly attends All Party Committees , Sue Clarke attended a meeting to represent the views of children and young people and Eny Osung and a young person attended the All Party Parliamentary Groups for Children and Refugees on 'The Basic Rights of Children Subject to Immigration Control: Why the UK immigration reservation to the Convention on the Rights of the Child should go'.
Sutton & Jigsaw4u 'AIMING HIGH FOR DISABLED CHILDREN'
Disabled children and young people of Can We (Talk 2) at Jigsaw4u, pictured here with Lord Adonis, Under Secretary of State for Schools and Learners, DCSF, and Sutton Council leader Sean Brennan at the launch of the Governments new Aiming High for Disabled Children’s national short breaks pathfinder programme. The purpose of the visit was to provide the minister with an opportunity to hear from disabled children and their parents about the potential impact of Aiming High for Disabled Children in general and the short breaks programme in particular.
The young people of Can We (Talk 2) at Jigsaw4u pictured above, facilitated a workshop in which local children discussed the kind of activities they would like included in the short breaks programme and their suggestions in the form of suns and sharks posted on a collage, formed a pictorial focus of their discussions with the Minister. This workshop also focused on the young people’s experiences of services locally and their advisory role as members of Can We (Talk 2)? within the Sutton Disability Partnership for Children and Young People.

Ian’s father whose father died supported Lewis who spoke effectively and powerfully about the impact of the death his sister, Sarah and how Jigsaw4u’s grief support helped his family
