Grief Support in Epsom approaches "Go" for launch!

Jigsaw4u will be launching its new grief support service for children in the Epsom area at a special event on Monday 19 October, from 3.30pm to 5pm to be held at Riverview Primary School, Riverview Road, West Ewell.
This event will be open to teachers, health visitors, GPs, family support workers and any professionals working with children. Refreshments will be available. The charity will have a new office based at Riverview Primary School.
Carol Bason, Service Manager Surrey, Jigsaw4u, says "We’ve been providing grief support to children for the past 12 years in Mitcham. We have now arrived in Epsom to expand out service to include children and families in North East Surrey and Kingston, who have been bereaved through illness, accident, suicide and murder. We will be running family groups locally and offering training and support to professionals."
To run the new Epsom service, two new recruits have been appointed as grief support workers - Philomena Canning and Barbara Pymm (pictured).
Philomena has many years experience as an Occupational Therapist working at the Royal Marsden Hospital, and more recently with children and families for a bereavement service in Croydon. Barbara has extensive experience working as a primary school teacher and counsellor for the charity Cruse. They are both well placed to offer support to children, families and professionals working with bereaved children.
