City of Norwich Half Marathon
Two dedicated runners from Norfolk have pledged their support to Jigsaw4u by running in the City of Norwich Half Marathon on Sunday 13 March 2011.
Former colleagues Mark Gaisford and Julie Gover have already put in hours of training in preparation for the challenging 13-mile foot race.
"I started running in October to prepare and the challenge of the long 13 miles is keeping me going," said Mr Gaisford.
"We are running for Jigsaw4u as they are a well-deserving charity, which gives children the power to have their own voice in making decisions about their lives."
Carol Bason, Service Manager, Jigsaw4u said:
"We are all absolutely delighted that Mark and Julie have offered to represent Jigsaw4u at this tough running event.
"As we receive no income from government agencies, we have to rely on donations and grants that we apply to from various sources, as well as money generated by fundraising efforts such as this. The essential money that Mark and Julie raise will enable us to provide valuable grief support to families across our local area."
