International fundraiser with Roshan Abeysinghe
Jigsaw4u International and Serendip restaurant welcome international cricket commentator, Roshan Abeysinghe, to a fundraising evening which aims to support traumatised children and young people in Sri Lanka.
On Monday 4th July, Serendip restaurant is opening its doors to local people. For £25, ticket-buyers can come along and enjoy a 3 course Sri Lankan meal, a raffle and an auction, in the company of one of the voices of international cricket.
Roshan's voice will be familiar to those who have followed the Sri Lankan tour and watch international cricket as he regularly works with BBC test match Special. An outspoken advocate for Sri Lankan cricket, he is president of Ragama’s cricket club and is well known for his abilities to give young cricketers their big break.
Proceeds are in aid of Jigsaw4u International, a charity which began working in Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami, helping young people to cope with the trauma and training professionals to continue supporting children’s emotional needs.
