Anne Davies, the founder and CEO of Jigsaw4u UK and International, is defying the odds to take part in a 5K run in September to raise money for Jigsaw4u.

"It's difficult for charities at the moment, so everyone is trying to help make a difference. I think that fundraising should come from the top down, so I had to do something," says Anne. This won't be an easy run for our CEO, however: she suffers from a rare form of arthritis which makes it painful to walk. This hasn't stopped her determination to join the 5k, though.

"If I have a good day, I'll walk, if it's bad, I'll hobble," she said with a laugh.

Anne will be joined on this run by Carly Ward, an entrepreneur who won Jigsaw4u's "Inspirational Woman in Business Award 2011" and has agreed to become a Young Ambassador for the charity, Zeena, a young trustee for Jigsaw4u International, and Naomi Hurrell, a member of the Head Office team. Carly, Zeena and Naomi are running for Jigsaw4u International's Strong Voices Project, which aims to bring together children from the UK and Africa to help tackle child trafficking and malaria.

Free on 11th September 2011? Why not come and support these runners in Hyde Park, London?
