Parlimentary News: Edward Davey MP takes our 'Grief Matters for Children' campaign to Parliament
Photograph of MP Edward Davey As part of the 'Grief Matters for Children' campaign, Jigsaw4u's patron Edward Davey, MP, is working with the Childhood Bereavement Network to ask the Government to commit to and fund four simple measures:
  • Training on bereavement to be provided to all trainee teachers and available to existing school staff
  • Responsibility for bereavement issues to be taken by a senior manager in every school and early years setting
  • Information to be available to parents, carers, children and young people about bereavement and sources of support
  • Data to be collected and reported annually on the number of children and young people bereaved of a parent or sibling.
62 MPs supported the motion and we await further news

Congratulations also to Edward Davey and his wife Emily on the birth of their son.
