| Youth Expedition to the Sinai Desert aims to raise £300k for Jigsaw4u | |

A group representing Jigsaw4u will be part of a three-week expedition to the Sinai desert that will include a weeklong environmental project and two weeks on an endurance type hike through the desert. Three weeks in total will include hiking in 45 degree heat as well as surviving one of the harshest environments in the world. The goal is to raise £300,000 for a Surrey Jigsaw4u grief support service for families where a parent or child has died as a result of accident, illness, suicide or murder based in Woking and in East Grinstead. Children and young people who have been bereaved feel alone an different, by bringing children together with other children, young people with other young people and adults with other adults who have been bereaved the relax, knowing that they all understand the emotions and impact of grief and together develop friendships, support networks and strategies for coping. |

Jigsaw4u also provides specialist services for disabled children and young people and those looked after by the local authority.
The services that Jigsaw4u grief support offer include:
Sponsorship A key role for all participants on the Youth Desert Expedition will be to help raise £300 000 needed to fund four part-time grief support coordinators, a flexible grief support service across the whole of Surrey plus three rounds of grief support groups each year for three years. This will expand the service that during the one year pilot project in East Surrey has met the needs of in excess of one hundred adults, children and young people and training more than four hundred professionals Please give generously.
