Good practice
Our Home-School project worker has run a Social Skills group for black boys in Year 5, who were getting into trouble in the class room and play ground for angry, aggressive and rude behaviour. This group of boys has been challenging to work with, but it helped having a black student from Jigsaw to help with the group. The feedback from the staff and the members of the group has been positive. One of the boys asked if the group could continue until the end of year 6, and other children from their year asked if they could come because they were angry too. This group is now continuing at the request of the Headmistress, with a teacher as the co-leader.
