National Volunteer Week 1st – 7th June

Jigsaw4u is celebrating National Volunteer Week with our annual Volunteer Party on Wednesday 7th June.

Join us for tea and cakes between 4.30pm-6.30pm to celebrate our fantastic volunteers, without whom we wouldn’t be able to help the 3,900 individuals we see every year!

If you can’t come for tea, or even if you can, there’s more you can do for a charity in National Volunteer Week – even if you can’t volunteer regularly. Read more about it below…

 

June 1-7 2017 is National Volunteer Week which, especially in Jigsaw4u’s 20^th anniversary year, makes it a terrific opportunity to raise some money for your favourite charity.

A great way to do this is through workplace fundraising. Could you and your colleagues get together to help raise money for Jigsaw4u? Not only is it a fun thing to do but it’s a fantastic team builder with a real sense of achievement and a good way to get to know your colleagues better.

There are lots of different and fun ways to raise money – ideas might include:-

– Sponsored fun run or bike ride

– Bake off or bake sale

– Sporting event eg: five-a-side football tournament

– Raffles or auctions

– Quizzes or trivial pursuit or scrabble competitions

– Dress-down or fancy dress days

 

You will have ideas of your own about what would appeal to your colleagues and spark their team (or competitive!!) spirit. Obviously we would love for you to raise as much money as possible, but every little really does help including by spreading the word about Jigsaw4u’s work. So don’t be discouraged from thinking small and local or indeed from thinking big if you might persuade your whole organisation to take part.
